& Other Stories Sparkly Pink Socks
Why I love them: If you’ve been following along on the website, you might have seen our Sparkle Guide. So it felt only right to add some additional sparkle on this week’s Lift.
These semi-transparent pink ribbed socks from & Other Stories are woven with delicate metallic threads that give off a subtle, luminous sheen. They are a playful way to ease in to the "everyday sparkle" mindset.
Want more high-shine inspiration? Our Sparkle Guide is packed with top picks of sparkly, joyful pieces designed to make you feel groovy. Head over to the Style section for a browse!
Available at: & Other Stories (in-store and online).
WELLBEING
Compeed Blister Plasters
Why I love them: Now that the warm weather is finally here, we’ve all eagerly rescued our sandals from the back of the wardrobe. But let’s be honest: our feet get incredibly confused transitioning out of supportive, full-coverage boots and trainers. No matter how broken-in my sandals are, they always seem to cause a blister or two during those first sweaty weeks of summer.
That is why I never go anywhere without a pack of Compeed. While I am usually an advocate for saving pennies with pharmacy own-brands, this is the one product where nothing else compares to the original. They are 100% worth the extra investment.
I’ve learned to use them preventatively now - applying them to my usual rub-spots before I even step out the door. After a week or so, once my skin has adjusted, I can go plaster-free. But I still keep the box in my bag just in case.
Available at: Boots, Superdrug, and most major supermarkets nationwide.
HOME LIFE
M&S Pure Cotton Embroidered Scalloped Bedding
Why I love it: I have to say, M&S are absolutely smashing it with their bedlinen right now. They are giving John Lewis and Anthropologie a run for their money! It was so hard to choose just one piece to share, but this set won my heart for summer.
The embroidered borders give it such an elegant, breezy, boutique-hotel look. It’s 100% pure cotton, and made with their non-iron StayNew™ technology, which I haven’t tried yet but apparently it keeps it looking fresh and crisp after wash with little effort.
It’s the perfect way to make your bedroom feel like a calm, summery sanctuary. Check out their full range.
Available at: Marks & Spencer (in-store and online).
Nourishment
The Estate Dairy Salted Cultured Butter
Why I love it: My philosophy on food is simple: eat well, and in moderation. Especially when it comes to one of life's ultimate luxuries - good bread and butter.
I am completely addicted to this butter at the moment. It is cultured, which gives it that rich, tangy depth of flavour that makes it taste exactly like proper, high-end French butter. My favourite weekend ritual is picking up a fresh loaf from my local baker on a Saturday morning, rushing home, and slathering a decadent layer of this over a slice. It is pure heaven. If you want to elevate a simple slice of toast or crumpet into a small everyday luxury experience, this is it.
Available at: Ocado, Sainsbury's, and local independent delis and farm shops.
Top tip: Ocado and Sainsbury's often run special offers on this, and that's when I do a little fridge stock!
Movement
Pointe Studio "Happy Full Foot" Grippy Socks
Why I love them: During the colder winter months, I like to wear long grip socks for my mat work. But in the summer I transition to something shorter and lighter.
If you want an extra reason to smile during your workout, their bestselling "Happy Full Foot" socks bring a little joy. They feature their cute signature happy face motif and a brilliant no-slip grip sole that gives you stability on the mat or reformer. They know what they’re doing when they design these - they have a built-in compression arch support. I find them super comfortable and don’t slip down when I’m working out.
Available at: Pointe Studio UK online and selected fitness boutiques - check out your local yoga / pilates studio.
Beauty
Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick
Why I love it: I absolutely love the freedom of wearing less makeup in the summer as the sun starts to do its magic on our skin. However, until that natural, sun-kissed glow fully kicks in, there’s a bit of a transition period. That is exactly when I reach for one of my all-time fave makeup pieces: the Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick.
When a full-coverage liquid foundation feels like it's just going to melt off in the heat, this stick is my lifesaver. You can apply it purely to the targeted areas where you actually want a little coverage, effortlessly evening out your complexion and giving you an instant confidence boost. It’s lightweight, moisturising, and doesn’t feel like you’re wearing anything. It’s easy to keep in your handbag to build up for a bit more coverage if you’re heading out in the evening.
(Pro-tip: This classic is currently being phased out/reformulated, so grab your shade while you can - I will be stocking up!)
Available at: Bobbi Brown counters, John Lewis, Boots, and online beauty retailers.
