Chemo curls
Regrowth is a milestone, but it’s not always simple. For many, hair comes back with a new texture entirely. Soft curls, unexpected waves, and baby-fine fuzz can feel both miraculous and unfamiliar.
You’re grateful it’s back… but maybe you don’t recognise the person in the mirror. That can be disorienting.
These EDITS are here to help you care for your curls while they last, with products to support texture, boost softness, and ease you into styling in a way that feels like you.
Bounce Curl Define edge lift brush
This clever tool is a game-changer for styling curls. Designed to define, separate, and smooth without snagging, it helps shape curls and tame edges with care, whether your new curls are tight, soft, or somewhere in between.
Works best with styling cream of your choice.
Kinky Curly Knot Today leave in conditioner
One of Lulu’s personal favourites, this ultra-hydrating leave-in softens and detangles delicate curls without weighing them down.
Lulu tip: Apply on damp hair, brush through, top with a curling cream and style it your way.
Sebastian Potion 9
A styling treatment that does a bit of everything; hydrates, smooths, and styles. It’s brilliant on its own for a light nourishing hold, or layer it over your leave-in conditioner if your curls are on the drier side, colour-treated, or simply need a little extra help to keep their shape.
Note from Lulu
“You may not love your new hair right away, and that's okay. There's no right way to feel. Let yourself get there in your own time.”
Tangle Teezer Original Thick & Curly
Designed for textured and curly hair, this brush glides through knots without tugging. Its easy-grip shape and flexible bristles make it especially helpful if you’re dealing with mobility issues or reduced strength after treatment.
A smart, gentle tool for easy brushing.
Lulu tip: Use it in the shower with conditioner to detangle from ends to roots.
Pureology Hydrate Shampoo & Conditioner
Good curl styling starts in the shower. This sulphate-free duo gently cleanses without stripping and leaves your hair deeply hydrated and manageable. It’s a favourite for curls needing moisture without heaviness.
Lulu tip: Avoid the Hydrate Sheer version which is lighter, but not quite rich enough for thirsty curls.
Curl tips
• Moisture is magic - hydration is your curls’ best friend.
• Less washing, more nourishing - skip daily shampoo and focus on moisture.
• Hands off! - once you’ve styled your curls, avoid touching to keep definition.
• Apply on wet hair - it locks in hydration and defines your curl pattern.
• Scrunch or twist - scrunch upwards for bouncier definition, or twist strands around your finger for more sculpted curls.
• Keep it damp - use a water spray bottle as you go to ensure even moisture while styling.
• Layer products - one size doesn’t fit all; find the combo that works for your curls.
• Air dry or diffuse - we love air drying, but if you diffuse, use a medium heat and speed to boost definition and minimise frizz.
• Do you - there’s no ‘right’ way, just the way that works for you. Which could change as your hair grows.
Slip Silk turban
Preserve your curls overnight with a luxuriously soft silk turban. It reduces friction while you sleep, helping to prevent tangles, frizz, and breakage, so you wake up with your curls intact. It also means fewer wash days, less styling stress, and more good hair mornings.
We were late to the turban game, but now? Fully converted.
Davines Curl Building Serum
A lightweight, non-crunchy serum that defines curls, adds elasticity, and controls frizz without weighing hair down. It’s perfect for finer curls or those just starting to grow back.
Lulu tip: If your curls are thicker or need more hold, layer this with a richer curl cream to enhance definition and staying power.
