STYLE
Rothy’s Shoes
Why I love them: I really wanted to love Rothy's before I even tried them on because of their incredible sustainability focus - they actually knit their shoes using thread spun from 100% recycled plastic water bottles, making them both beautiful and completely machine-washable.
On top of their planet-friendly ethos, their designs are absolute classics done super well, in beautiful colours and cool prints. When I finally tried them on, I was completely sold; they are every bit as comfortable as I had hoped.
As a size 8, I find it almost impossible to find comfortable shoes these days as brands seem to be cutting them smaller. But Rothy's were absolutely spot on. While some styles can vary in fit due to the cut, the Cruiser Loafers and Mary Janes I tried fit like a dream. My only regret is not finding them earlier in the summer!
If you are still looking for a great pair of summer shoes, or spend a lot of time in warmer climates, these get my absolute vote.
Available: Liberty London (in-store and online, up to a size 7.5 / 8)
Rothy’s (online only, available up to a size 13 on most styles)
Beauty
Fussy Refillable Deodrant
Why I love it: Due to recent hormonal changes from peri-menopause / HRT, my body chemistry shifted and I was forced to switch from my normal, long-time deodorant. Honestly, I probably spent more money trying different deodorants in one single month than I have done in the past two years!
I eventually tried Fussy, one of the newer refillable natural deodorants on the market, and boom - it actually worked. Not only does it keep me feeling fresh, but I really enjoy catching the beautiful fragrance throughout the day.
It’s worth noting that the formula isn't quite as soft on application as what I was previously used to, but that is a small compromise I am more than willing to make for its durability and scent.
Available: Fussy (online), Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Ocado, Holland & Barrett, WholeFoods, Planet Organic.
HOME LIFE
Insect Hotels
Why I love them: I’ve become so much more conscious of the little things we can do at home to look after the world around us, and insect hotels are such a lovely one. As our towns and cities grow, the natural habitats that bees, ladybirds, butterflies and other brilliant little creatures rely on are disappearing, yet they play such an important role in pollination, keeping garden pests under control and generally helping our ecosystems thrive. An insect hotel gives them a safe little place to shelter, nest and lay their eggs - essentially, a tiny sanctuary in your garden. Pop yours somewhere sunny and sheltered, ideally amongst flowers and plants, and then leave them to discover it in their own time. I also think there’s something rather wonderful about watching to see who moves in! It’s a small, simple thing to add to a garden, terrace or even a balcony, but one that helps give a little back to nature, and looks rather lovely while doing it.

Rude Health Spelt Flakes
Why I love them: I’m someone who loves crunchy food, and I find myself reaching for crisps or nuts way too much. To help curb that habit, I’ve found a great substitute: Rude Health Spelt Flakes.
They completely scratch that itch for a satisfying crunch, but without any of the worry. I don’t have to worry about things like cholesterol or high calories; instead, I know this is a wholesome snack offering my body beneficial fibre and protein.
Made of ancient grains, they are gentle on your tummy and provide slow-release energy. If I'm eating them pre-workout, or if I'm just particularly hungry, I like adding a chopped banana on top.
I actually switched to Rude Health products during my cancer treatment days, and I’ve been loyal to them ever since. They are a brand I completely trust to use wholesome, clean ingredients with absolutely no nasties.
Available: Ocado, Waitrose, Whole Foods and most supermarkets.
WELLBEING
Wooden Gua Sha Lymphatic Massager
Why I love it: I originally bought this wooden tool to use for lymphatic drainage on my legs, and a few nights a week, I’ll apply my favourite body oil and give them a gentle massage in front of the telly. But those of you who follow my Stories on Instagram may have spotted that it recently came to the rescue for something different.
My recurring shoulder pain decided to flare up over a weekend when I couldn’t get to my physio, so out came this gua sha tool. I used it to massage around the area over the next three days and it really helped ease the tightness. So much so that, this time, I didn’t even end up needing that physio appointment.
It’s one of those wonderfully simple, inexpensive things that has earned a permanent place in my wellbeing cupboard, and I love it when something I bought for one reason turns out to be useful for so much more.

The “Restaurant of the Universe” Analogy
Why I love it: If you spend any time on IG or TikTok, you might have come across a viral sketch by content creator Andrea Rendl.
In her reel, she uses a restaurant analogy to explain how we manifest and navigate The Law of Attraction and it is brilliant:
The Illusion of the Menu: When you sit down at the "restaurant of the universe," you might feel like you only have limited, default choices. This restriction usually comes from our past, or what we think we are "allowed" to have. In reality, there is no fixed menu, you can order whatever you actually want.
The Test of Settling: The moment you finally decide to change your order to what you actually want, the universe might initially bring you the old, default choice anyway. It’s a test to see if you are willing to settle for less.
Send Back the Fries! Her core message is that you won’t get what you want in life if, deep down, you still expect and accept the lesser option. You have to truly embody the identity of someone who expects and deserves the better order and you have to be willing to "send back the fries" rather than unhappily settling for them.
We are so often conditioned to just accept whatever is handed to us, but you are allowed to want more. You are allowed to send back the fries and expect the life you actually want to live.
And that’s this week’s Lift!
