STYLE

WNU Sifnos Trousers (Lucy Williams Collaboration in Cobalt Blue)

Why I love them: I haven’t actually purchased from With Nothing Underneath yet, but I hear nothing but wonderful things about them from every corner - they do beautiful, high-quality classic pieces incredibly well. I currently have a date in my diary to head over to one of their London shops to try on these particular linen trousers for my upcoming holiday.

This bold cobalt blue is already making me dream of sitting by the sea. They are just so versatile. I’m planning to style them casually with a simple white tee and a bright coloured flip-flop during the day, and then dress them up with a black silk camisole and ballet pumps for dinner in the evening. They’ll even carry me into late summer thrown on with a sweatshirt or a chunky cardigan. Even though cobalt blue is very "on trend" this year, it’s actually an absolute classic summer shade, meaning these will keep on going for many summers to come.

Available at: With Nothing Underneath (online and at their London stores).

Beauty

Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Bronzing Drops

Why I love them: This is one of my summer beauty staples, in fact, this is my fifth summer in a row using it! The way I use it changes as the season goes on. In early summer, when my skin is just starting to catch the sun, I mix a tiny drop of this into my usual foundation. As the weeks go on and my skin naturally gets a bit darker, I progressively adjust the ratio, adding more bronzing drops and less foundation. By late summer, when I don't need full foundation coverage, I just mix a drop straight into my daily face moisturiser.

It gives you a healthy, natural sun-kissed glow without using a fake tan product. There's no glitter, no streaking, it's easy to use, and a little bottle goes a long way. I keep getting compliments about how well and glowy my skin looks at the moment... and it is all down to this tiny bottle. Shh!

Available at: Space NK, Boots, Cult Beauty, and Sephora UK.

HOME LIFE

Graham & Green Bouquet Round Seat Pads

Why I love them: I am a massive fan of Graham & Green’s high-quality, bohemian style, and these gorgeous embroidered seat pads have caught my eye. I think they’ll look stunning on the sofa or living room floor, but they would also be perfect for taking outside to make sitting in the garden more comfortable, especially on those days when you're feeling a bit physically tender and need some extra softness beneath you.

The detail on these is beautiful. They feature brightly coloured embroidered flowers and tiny pom pom trims. Each flower is hand-crafted by skilled artisans in India on hand-driven machines (a craft that can take up to ten years to master!). I love that human touch and supporting real craft, making each cushion a unique, joyful piece of art to brighten up your home and garden.

Available at: Graham & Green online and in-store.

Nourishment

Golden Kiwis

Why I love them: I first started eating kiwis regularly during chemotherapy as a way to diversify my nutritional intake, as they are famously high in Vitamin C and fibre. However, as the years went on, I stopped eating them - I think I developed a mild allergy to the green ones, as they would always make my tongue tingle.

When golden kiwis hit the UK market a few years ago, I decided to give them a try and I was instantly hooked. They taste incredibly sweet and gorgeous, almost like a tropical treat rather than just "eating something healthy because you should."

For anyone like me who navigates pancreatic sensitivities, this is a particularly fantastic fruit to have in your repertoire; they have a low glycemic index, meaning they won't cause spikes in your blood sugar, and they don’t cause me any digestive issues at all. Just one golden kiwi provides over 100% of your daily Vitamin C needs, alongside plenty of fibre and antioxidants to support your gut and immune system.

(Pro-tip: Unlike green kiwis, golden kiwis have a completely smooth, hairless skin. If you are brave enough, you can actually eat the skin for a massive extra boost of dietary fibre!)

Available at: Most major supermarkets (like Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Ocado), but my absolute favourites are from M&S!

WELLBEING

The Post-Shower Cold Blast

Why I love it: Contrast hydrotherapy - alternating between hot and cold water is famous for boosting circulation, easing sore muscles, and waking up your nervous system. But you don’t have to do anything complicated or extreme to get the benefits.

My personal routine is much simpler: I have a normal hot shower, and then right at the very end when I'm done, I put my hair up and blast the tap with colder water. Starting this in the summer is infinitely easier and feels so incredibly refreshing, especially when you're taking a daytime shower and it's hot outside. It really does feel energising, and you step out of the bathroom feeling brave, wide awake, and buzzing with endorphins!

How to start: Next time you’re finishing up your shower, turn the tap to cold for just 30 to 60 seconds. Focus on taking slow, deep breaths, and let the cold work its magic.

When you’re feeling more confident, you can build up to trying the full, alternating version (warm for 2 minutes, cold for 30 seconds, repeated a few times).

(Note: If you have any heart conditions or cardiovascular health concerns, it’s always best to check with your doctor before introducing sudden temperature changes).

Movement

Post-Meal Walking

We all know that every day movement is good for us, but sometimes we can all be a little guilty of knowing the theory and not actually putting it into practice.

For me, that habit is taking a short walk right after meals. So, I am officially making this my new personal wellness goal.

There is a lot of science to back up why this is so good for us. Taking even a quick 10 - 15 minute gentle stroll right after eating helps to flatten your post-meal blood sugar spikes (which is amazing for managing insulin and supporting pancreatic health), aids digestion, and gives you a natural boost of energy.

Starting this now while the summer weather is great makes it so much easier to get out the door - and my hope is that by the time autumn and winter arrive, it will be a deeply embedded habit I won’t be skipping. Who wants to join me?
