A fortnightly collection of the things I’m enjoying, and the beautiful finds I've come across on my daily travels that I think you'd love, too.

STYLE
The Leather Glove Edit from John Lewis
Why I like them: A good pair of leather gloves is a winter wardrobe classic. Timeless, elegant and practical, they're one of those accessories that can instantly elevate an outfit.
I've picked four beautiful styles from John Lewis, all at accessible price points, depending on your personal style.
From classic fleece-lined leather gloves for everyday wear and elegant elbow-length styles for a little drama, to cosy sheepskin and my personal favourites, leather gloves finished with a cuff.
Four different looks, and the kind of pieces you'll reach for winter after winter.
Nourishment
Yutaka Roasted Black Sesame Seeds
Why I like them: I'm a fan of the Yutaka range and always have a few of their products in my cupboard. I particularly love their roasted black sesame seeds.
With their lovely nutty flavour and delicate crunch, they're a great way to add extra goodness to everyday meals. They're naturally rich in fibre, a source of plant-based protein and contain healthy fats and minerals. Every bit helps!
They're incredibly versatile too. You can sprinkle them over stir-fries, add them to smoothies or scatter them over salads. I particularly love them in my winter vegetable salads, especially when kale, red cabbage or sweet potatoes are involved.
Available at: Ocado, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.
HOME LIFE
Garden Trading Hurley Casserole Dish
Why I like it: I love the rustic simplicity of this stoneware casserole dish with lid. It has a natural glaze and beautiful understated finish. It's the sort of piece that's just as lovely on the dining table as it is in the oven.
Perfect for winter casseroles and slow-cooked dishes, and practical too, as it's oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. A lovely combination of form and function.
Available at: Garden Trading, online
Wellbeing
BetterYou Vitamin D Oral Spray
Why I like it: A little reminder as we head into November. Between October and early March, the sunlight in the UK isn't strong enough for our bodies to make enough vitamin D.
Vitamin D plays an important role in keeping our bones, teeth and muscles healthy, which is why the NHS recommends that everyone considers taking a daily supplement of 10 micrograms (400 IU) during autumn and winter.
I like the convenience of an oral spray, and BetterYou offers an easy alternative to tablets and capsules.
This particular spray contains 25 micrograms (1,000 IU) of vitamin D3 per dose, so it's worth checking what strength is right for you.
Worth knowing: If you're recovering from cancer or still being monitored by your medical team, check with your consultant before starting a supplement or changing your dose.
Available at: BetterYou online, Ocado, Boots, Holland & Barrett and Waitrose.
Movement
John Lewis Sports Section
Why I like it: I popped into John Lewis to check out their newly revamped Sports & Wellness department.
Bringing together everything from sportswear and trainers to fitness equipment, wearable technology and recovery tools, it's a one-stop destination for anyone interested in movement and wellbeing.
You'll find familiar favourites like Nike, Brooks and Sweaty Betty, alongside Peloton, Therabody, Oura and Whoop. There's even AI-powered fitness technology to explore.
I particularly like that they've introduced free gait analysis to help you find the right footwear for your needs.
Worth knowing: The clothing selection leans heavily towards the big sportswear brands, so don't expect to find any of the more considered labels. I also found the yoga and Pilates offering rather limited.
Available at: The new departments are available at Oxford Street, Liverpool, Cheadle and Glasgow, with the wider range available online.

Black Friday: My Shopping Strategy
If you've read this week's email, you'll know I'm not the biggest fan of the American commercial traditions we've adopted. Black Friday is another one that irritates me.
I've learnt not to get seduced by its big promises, but I have found a way to make it work in my favour.
I use Black Friday to restock my beauty and make-up essentials. Products I already use, need and would be buying anyway, particularly those that rarely get discounted throughout the year.
With a few weeks to go, I start making a list of what I've run out of or am running low on, so I can shop with purpose rather than getting carried away by the offers.
So far, my list includes Bobbi Brown foundation, Obagi moisturiser, Medik8 oil cleanser and night cream, a Lisa Eldridge lippie and liner, and iS Clinical cleanser.
And that’s this week’s Lift!
I’ll be back in 2 weeks with a fresh selection of finds I love.
